By Mark Ellis

Tim Tebow speaks at Easter event

Incoming New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow shared about his bold mix of faith and football at a massive outdoor Easter service, in which God received the glory for a career that has captivated believers throughout the country.

As many as 20,000 people sat outdoors on a sunny Resurrection Day at “Easter on the Hill” organized by Pastor Joe Champion of Celebration Church, located in Georgetown, 15 miles north of Austin.

In an interview-style format with Pastor Champion, Tebow recounted his journey of faith, kindled by the Holy Spirit at a young age. “I still remember when I was a little boy lying in my bed,” he said. “I had been to church and I had been to devotionals and all sorts of things,” he recalled.

Tebow church visit attracts 20,000

By Grelan Muse Sr., Inside The Pew

Tebow with his favorite Scripture

On March 3, the Denver Broncos quarterback was the featured speaker at Canyon Ridge Christian Church in Las Vegas, Nev. Tebow’s visit attracted an audience of at least 20,000 at the church and more than 1,000 people logged in to the church’s website for a live feed of the Saturday service.

It is amazing how God uses people to build his Kingdom. Regardless of one’s attitude toward Tebow, the Almighty used this man to show how the Holy Spirit reigns forever. For years, God has used Tebow as a vessel to carry His word to the masses. He didn’t even need the blessing or permission of a bishop or apostle to do his work. When God has something to say, He beckons even the common man.

Leaves game with brain tumor survivor

Tebow praying on sidelines

By Mark Ellis

It was billed as a showdown between two polar opposites in the sports world — one called a “playboy” and the other dubbed a “preacher.” The former playboy came out on top, but Denver quarterback Tim Tebow left the stadium with his faith intact.

“We kept fighting for the entire day,” Tebow told reporters after the 41-23 loss to the New England Patriots. That’s something I’m extremely proud of.”

Tebow led his team’s march down the field for an early score, and seemed sharp in his passing performance, but three turnovers in the second quarter proved to be an insurmountable obstacle to another win.

Tebow wore a microphone during Chicago Bears game; he reveals the heart of a man sold out to Jesus

By Mark Ellis

Tim Tebow

As Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Bebow led his team to another improbable come-from-behind win against Chicago, not many realized he wore a microphone throughout the game that recorded a rare glimpse of his unusual faith.

Before the start of the game, he knelt on the sidelines in his trademark pose and uttered this prayer: “Lord, put a wall of protection around me and my teammates today. When we go out there let us honor you with everything we do and say. I love you. In Jesus name, amen.”

As he warmed up on the sidelines, Tebow sang: “Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven above, with wisdom…”
