Chuck Colson’s 50 Films Every Christian Should See

It’s been nearly two weeks since our dear friend and the founder of Prison Fellowship, Chuck Colson, received his eternal reward. It was announced recently that a public memorial in his honor will be held at the National Cathedral on May 16th. It will be a privilege to attend and collectively thank the Lord for the life of this good man.

As some of you may know, Chuck loved movies. He saw them as a wonderful way to communicate truth and the many characteristics of our loving and all-powerful God. By viewing and studying certain films, he believed we could be inspired to live better lives. I think he was right.

Chuck Colson’s family gathers at bedside as he nears homegoing

Jim Liske, CEO of Prison Fellowship Ministries, gave the following update this morning: “It is with a heavy, but hopeful heart that I share with you that it appears our friend, brother and founder will soon be home with the Lord. Chuck’s condition took a decided turn yesterday, and the doctors advised Patty and the family to gather by his bedside.”

Chuck Colson, 80, in ‘critical’ condition after brain surgery

Chuck Colson, 80, founder of Prison Fellowship, Justice Fellowship and the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, underwent surgery at a Washington, D.C., area hospital on Saturday morning to remove a pool of clotted blood on the surface of his brain.

Colson is listed in “critical” condition at this point, but has shown some early signs of potential recovery.

Colson was speaking at a Wilberforce Weekend Conference sponsored by the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview in northern Virginia on Friday when his speech became garbled and he had to sit down, according to World Magazine.
