Mom loves her homosexual son but disagrees on gay marriage

She loves her homosexual son as much as her heterosexual children, yet she maintains a firm stand against redefining marriage.

“We love each other unconditionally,” says Regina Griggs, executive director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX). “We have a very close relationship even though we don’t agree on gay marriage,” she says. “It is not easy, but as a responsible parent I must stand firm in my belief that marriage must remain between a man and a woman.”

Same-sex marriage more likely to end in divorce

How much divorce is there in the same-sex “marriage” world? It turns out there’s a lot.

The United States’ history with same-sex “marriage” is short, but Scandinavian countries have been at this much longer. A Stockholm University professor of demography found that in Sweden and Norway male same-sex “marriages” are 50 percent more likely to end in divorce than heterosexual marriages.

Washington State is set to become the seventh state to legalize gay marriage. To usher in the event, Rabbi Mark S. Glickman has produced a column in The Seattle Times, entitled, “What the Bible really says about same-sex marriage.

Rabbi Glickman should have called his piece “What the first five books of the Bible say about same-sex marriage,” because after mentioning that “The Christian Bible, as you may know, is longer than my Bible,” and then going further to explain that “many who invoke the Bible in the same-sex marriage debate begin with quotes from the Torah,” he finally gets to his point: out of the “5,888 verses in the Torah . . . homosexual behavior is mentioned in just two of them. . . . That’s it.”
