Theologian R.C. Sproul maintains that the reason life in the womb is so valuable – why there is dignity assigned to every human being – is that we are made in God’s image. His imprint gives life its dignity.

When God prints his image on a human creature, that image is precious and sacred. It is almost like a tiny self-portrait He is painting in the womb. When someone willfully assaults that sacred space, while God is fashioning together human life, He considers it an assault upon Himself and His creative prerogative.

Synagogue became an abortion clinic, but God had other plans

The stately building at the corner of Ransom and Fountain was originally built as a synagogue in 1881. Then the Greek Orthodox Church held services there for many years, followed by a variety of other uses, until the largest abortion provider in western Michigan settled in, killing 20,000 babies over a 10-year period.

“The building – originally created to be a church — was turned into an abortion facility,” says Kurt Dillinger, the founder and president of LIFE International, an organization that establishes life-giving ministries wherever abortion is provided around the world.

Planned Parenthood clergy calls for “40 Days of Prayer” on behalf of abortion

A clergy committee of Planned Parenthood is calling for “40 days of prayer and contemplation” on behalf of abortion. The initiative mirrors the “40 Days for Life” campaign that opposes the practice.

Among the prayer points are “for the families we’ve chosen,” and it encourages prayer in celebration of abortion, abortion doctors, and for “a cloud of gentleness to surround every abortion facility.”

Catholic midwives forced to participate in abortions

EDINBURGH, U.K. — Judgment was handed down today in the case of two senior midwives from Glasgow who have a conscientious objection to abortion. The midwives have been told that they must accept the decision of their hospital management that they must oversee other midwives performing abortions on the labour ward.

Lady Smith, judge in the Court of Session in Edinburgh, ruled that the senior midwives’ role is not covered by the conscience clause in the Abortion Act.
